Madison Street Bakehouse

Madison Street Bakehouse will add a small bite of bliss to your day.

Keeping up with the Maddy

I have been living in New York City for about 2 years now. I have learned to appreciate a wide range of emotions that come from living in the city. It's a bit of a love-hate relationship, but with more love then hate... most days.

New York is an ugly city, a dirty city. Its climate is a scandal, its politics are used to frighten children, its traffic is madness, its competition is murderous. But there is one thing about it- once you have lived in New York and it has become your home, no place else is good enough.
— John Steinbeck

One of the lovely things about New York City is the constant influx of visitors I have had.  I can not help but get excited when one of my love doves comes to visit me. They are in a bit of awe of all the hidden beauty that the city has to offer. I feel a sense of wonderment and joy all over again.

I have to say I really like to observe first impressions of the city. I am not sure which sensation hits them first, the noise, smell or the "light" film of dirt that is somehow everywhere. Perhaps It could be the awareness that you suddenly feel so small/claustrophobic. And for some reason everyone around you seems to be sprinting. while you are on a sunday stroll through the park.

The best part of these experience are finding hole in the wall places and hidden gems that leave you feeling like you've had the best time, and often best meals, in your Life. And of course SLEEPLESSNESS.

Thanks for stopping by, keep following your BLISS. Happy Saint Paddy's day
